I got a new home and I needed new furniture, I heard about some Black Friday specials and thought it would be a good idea to stop by. So glad that I did, I got everything that I needed and some things that I wanted as well. They were really nice and had great customer service. I recommended other family members and they got some things they wanted as well.
It's amazing how differently people are treated at Modern. To read the reviews showing how awesome they are is actually shocking. However, it brings a small amount of comfort to my heart to know that not everyone is treated poorly. I have been a customer for quite sometime and originally everything was great. I referred people and continued buying items from the store UNTIL last year when I started receiving the worst service and cheap product(s) ever. I love my couches but my bedroom furniture started falling apart and instead of accommodating me I was pushed to the side for months. After speaking to two others that have purchased items from Modern aka Buddy's aka their new name now; I found out they did not have pleasant experiences either over the past couple of years. I'm currently waiting to hear back from the Attorney General regarding my experience and pray that this company hires more professional people and start training their new employees properly. They break the law constantly, intimidate people who they believe don't no the law and are bullies. If things do not change I would love to see this company shut down for the illegal activity and intimidation they constantly exhibit.
Well Modern Home is my #1 store, I could go there I found what I need or if I don't they help you get what you are looking for. The workers are very friendly and sweet make you feel at home. My #1 always..... been with them for almost 3 years now. . Love them the best there is ....
I purchased a home in NC last year and a friend recommended this place. I decided to start off by renting a living room set and paid it off fairly quickly and agreed to have the payments automatically drafted from my account. That worked out so I purchased a TV and refrigerator. The bulb went out on the TV after 42 days of having it and I was told this wasn't covered in my warranty. The icemaker stopped working and I have been waiting 67 days for someone to repair it. The customer service has been very poor and I will not purchase anything else from Modern personally.
