The back fell off my chair when it was just out of warranty and they want a very expensive price to repair it. They operate like the federal government.
Make Sure you are satisfied with what you pick out in the store. La-Z-Boy wanted to charge me a 30% restocking fee for an ottoman after I had it in my house for 4 hours. I decided I did not want the product and that it was to big for the space. When I called my sales associate he told me I should have refused before the deliveryman left the property. If I would have know that I would have made the deliveryman stay until I got the rest of my furniture placed to ensure everything fit and looked the way I wanted it. I will NEVER purchase anything from La-Z-Boy again! Kudos to Haverty's of Winston Salem for their Excellent Customer Service and products! Haverty's is a company that stands by their products.
We walked in & weren't greeted until halfway through. Then was greeted by this hateful lady that made sure we knew she was closing soon. Which we were already aware of, but wanted to take a quick look. I work in the fur future sales industry & I know she makes commission like everyone in that field. So she made it well known that she did not want to make money nor did she care if we came back. I'm not sure what kind of company Lazy boy runs, but I would be embarrassed & pissed that one of my employees treated customers in that manner. We will never return & I will let everyone I know not to do business with that company & especially the store itself.
I purchased a chair for my mother 10 months ago,today it fell apart and is completely unusable since the frame has become completely unattached from the base on one side. I must admit that this was a surprise considering the service I received in store, the reputation of the company and the warrantee. My biggest surprise came when the store referred me to a customer care hotline since they don't handle after sales support in-store. After holding for 27 minutes I was told that it would be more than two weeks before someone could come to service the chair and that they will not set a time until the day before. This will be communicated to me by an automated system and if I have a discrepancy with the scheduling I will have to call the customer care number and hold for an undisclosed amount of time instead of being able to call a human being in a local office to discuss a mutually acceptable time to meet. Trust me when I say I will never spend another dime with this company.
