I even offered to pay for it but they thanked me for being so caring and did not charge me.
Charged me $500 said good luck. I took him to my vet and they saved him and it cost $150 and even kept him over night. No compassion.
I am very disappointed with the service we received last night. In a moment of tragedy and trauma, my cousins dog was brutally hit by a car that would not stop and with his extensive injuries we rushed him to this hospital (which was the only one open near us). As soon as we go in there they take him into the back and we were placed in a private room. Immediately before any care could be given, we were asked to cough up $800. Mind you, my cousin had been chasing him outside to catch him and did not have her wallet. I only had my license since I had ran out of my house to go help her. We believe these people wanted to help for the greater good and would let us talk about AFTER they had treated him. Because of their lack of care, my cousins dearly beloved dog died last night. We were only allowed a brief moment to say our goodbyes and were not allowed to be with him while he took his last breath. I am ashamed of this place and would never recommend it if you want your pet to live. I strongly believe these people cared more about the deposit of $800. I am thoroughly disappointed and because of their lack of compassion, an 8year old, 13 year, and two young teenagers are mourning their sweet puppy.
Horrible experience as our dog was dying. We took our dog to one vet (Southside - which was a good experience but they didn't have the necessary diagnostic tools) who recommended that we go here. Our dog had a neurological event (like a seizure that just kept going on and on) and we took her to CVS. Once we were there they took her into the back to examine her which was weird to me, every other vet I've ever been to before will do an exam with you in the room. I was also upset because I knew she was scared and in pain, we should have been allowed to stay with her.
They will get my business going forward.
My neighbors car caught a baby bunny and brought it in the house. He had no bleeding but by morning it was clear he had a broken back. They were very caring and euthanized him for no charge.
Before they would even start any tests they asked for a "deposit" - which was confusing to me since they were really asking for the entire payment up front (already totaling $600). While she was in the back we had to sign up for a Care credit card. The woman at the front desk was annoyed when we closed the window out after signing out - we didn't want her to see how much we were approved for (thinking that is none of her business). While we were giving her our account number she asked how much we were approved for. My husband said - "Enough." And she was like well, I really need to know the amount so we told her. She then proceeded to call into the back that "(our dog's name) is approved for $4500" I was so angry and disgusted.
They take advantage of 'panic' furbabie parents at 2am and charge an arm and a leg. Told me my kitty would die and asked about euthanasia or a $2k surgery. They may could 'hold him over' with a minor procedure
Long story short, our dog had a mass in her stomach which was bleeding and she didn't have much time left. The doctor gave us the option of keeping her there over night for another $1300 so they could run an ultrasound on her just to confirm that. We said we wanted to take her home at that point. They gave us pain pills for her and we left. I am so disgusted by how we were treated and the emphasis on payment for these tests. It was horrific enough that my dog was dying unexpectedly and painfully and then to add this experience with these people just made it so much worse.
I would never recommend CVS to anyone. Call around, find a vet who does emergency house calls instead. Never give your money to this company. They really only care about the money, not the animal.
staff was great but the vet to me didnt have the knowledge i was expecting for a specialist.VERY OVER PRICED!!! paid over $500 and never helped my dog! i would not recommend
