Highly recommended. My daughter has been an In Motion student for many years. We love the professional way the studio is managed, the caliber of dance instruction and the wide variety of classes offered. The annual recital is really impressive; it's an entertaining showcase of the talents of dancers of all ages. The studio fosters growth not only in dance skills and performance, but also in developing the dancers into confident young adults.
This is my daughter's 4th year at In Motion and we've been highly impressed with both the atmosphere and the level of dance education. It's an encouraging, challenging, and fun atmosphere simultaneously. As a Mom to a young girl, I greatly appreciate the age appropriate costumes and music. The recital at The Stevens Center is one of my favorite nights of the year - SO well done! I love that the director, all the dance teachers and student assistants are strong role models for my daughter. My daughter is there twice a week currently but wishes she could be there more often. She also loves the summer camp at In Motion. I would recommend In Motion for all levels and all types of dance - something for everyone!

Whether you are looking for a studio where your child can dance recreationally or are seeking a more serious commitment to dance, In Motion provides it all – and does so in a professional environment. We have been impressed that despite being such a large studio, there is such a personal touch at In Motion. It is evident that the teachers and director put a lot of effort into making sure that every child meets his or her maximum potential. Despite the size of the studio, every child’s name is known and the progress of every child matters. It is extremely important to our family that we surround our children with positive role models, and that’s exactly what we have found in the teachers and director at In Motion. In addition, the choreography and costuming is simultaneously age appropriate, modest, current, and lots of fun! Not only is our daughter improving in her dance technique, but she is growing in her confidence, responsibility, and ability to follow directions and work with others. The older dancers and student assistants have been sources of encouragement and wonderful role models for my young daughter. You also won’t find a better well-oiled machine than the recitals at In Motion: the dancing is spectacular and genuinely entertaining. The director is phenomenal. It is clear that she cares about each and every one of the dancers that walks through the doors of In Motion. Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious and she has such a special gift in her ability to motivate, encourage and challenge all of the dancers at In Motion, from the tiny 3-year-old dancers to the girls on the competition team. I am thankful that my daughter has the opportunity to dance at In Motion!
We absolutely LOVE In Motion Dance Center. My daughter is so excited every week to see what's in store for her in class! The staff is AMAZING! One of the strongest groups of teachers I've seen at one studio. They are all very kind, knowledgeable, and energetic, and are able to reach new goals with the dancers every week.
After dancing at another local studio for 8 years, our family made the difficult decision to move our daughter to a new studio in an effort to find the best fit. I am so happy to say that we found that perfect fit for our daughter, and she is now in her third year at In Motion Dance Center. One of the first things we noticed was the welcoming atmosphere. The staff and students alike took my daughter in and made her feel as if she had danced at In Motion all along, and the studio is spacious, clean, and inviting. From the beginning, I have been impressed with the professionalism of the entire staff, especially the owner, Mrs. Michelle. Although she runs a large studio, she knows her dancers and knows them well. My daughter does not take private lessons and does not participate on the Elite competition team; however, she receives focused attention from the teachers in all of her classes and is challenged to develop her dance skills and values as a young lady. I cannot say enough positive things about In Motion Dance Center; thank you for being the perfect fit for our daughter.
I have a very extensive dance back ground, and now as a mother of a young dancer, it is very important to me to have my child in a well rounded studio where she will be challenged, to grow as a dancer, but also as a respectable young lady. The positive encouragement you receive from other dancers when you walk in the door is beyond words....and has made my daughter feel so special. The choreography that comes from this studio is extremely entertaining and tasteful/age appropriate for the dancers....maybe a surprising comment, but not a value shared by many studios. The director couldn't be any more perfect in her role....she absolutely loves what she does everyday, and is a great role model to these young dancers----she cares for each and every student, she's funny in class, she encourages and motivates them, and she has very realistic goals for each dancer. You can witness this by watching her teach a class of any age group. It's also very nice to see that every student is treated just as importantly, whether you want to dance recreationally, or pursue a performing team. The office staff is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. All of these things were very important to me in selecting a dance studio for my child. I would HIGHLY recommend IN MOTION, for the best all around dance experience. ❤️❤️❤️
