Second time we have stayed here while my wife received specialized medical care in this area. The staff and all the volunteers made our stay wonderful! Everyone is so friendly and considerate of our situation. Can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you everyone at SECU!
This place is a hospitality house for patients and their family that is getting medical attention and are from out of town. They have food and volunteers that that come in and fix the guest breakfast and/or dinner. Most of the volunteers/employees are polite, respectful, and helpful. But there were a couple of them this last visit that was rather on the rude side as to the way they spoke to me and my mom when we asked a simple curiosity question. We did let someone in charge know how it made us feel and they did address the situation. This place is very relaxing and stress free and we always enjoy meeting and getting to know the other guest. I especially enjoy sitting outside in the sitting area and watching the birds enjoy the feeders.
I was expecting good. I got fantastic!!! The staff and volunteers are all absolutely fantastic. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home no matter what you are going through. Love them all.
This place is amazing! I brought my small group from church here one time to serve a meal to the families. We made some great connections with the families. The staff was great and seemed appreciative. The place really invests in their people. They have a nice area outside where you can sit. The chapel was in a private room and seemed pretty nice. They offer very discounted "hotel type" rooms to families who are in need and are being treated in the hospitals for various reasons. It really helps the people to manage what they are going through. Kind of a respite from the hospital. They have two separate large refrigerators and freezers on both sides of the kitchen that families can sore their food in. A huge nice kitchen and dining room.
Wonderful place! When you or a loved one have medical issues and have to be near the hospital, this is the place to be! It's comforting, trendy and has great staff! The community kitchen is an amazing idea and it's as close to home without actually being at home!
