Locally owned is the way to go. The salesman was knowledgeable and not pushy like most salesman. Their return policy is great, as is the ability to work with a small business instead of a megacorporation. We got a great deal and were able to bring the mattress home today (and drop our old one off)

I recently purchased a mattress set here and I had a wonderful experience. I love my mattress! My salesman, Paul, was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the differences between mattresses and helping me select the right mattress at the right price. I am pretty sure I visited every mattress shop in Winston-Salem and this was by far the most helpful salesman and the least pushy. The prices are the best in town as well. My mattress was delivered the same day and it is very comfortable :) Thank you!!
Had a fantastic experience at Mattress Center! Didn't feel pressured (or ignored) like sometimes happens at big franchise stores. Paul was great to work with, extremely knowledgeable about the beds and, based on what I told him when I tried certain mattresses, was able to point me towards a mattress that was great for me. I was in between two different comfort levels of the same mattress (one softer, one firmer) and I was assured that I would be able to swap the mattress for the other if it ended up not being the right fit for me after a few weeks. I went with the softer, but ended up doing a comfort swap for the firmer. Paul was completely understanding and did the swap for me easily! So pleased with the mattress and the adjustable base I got, too. Plus, I got more than I expected for what I was able to spend. I highly recommend Mattress Center and will definitely be back or send friends!
