As for getting the dishwasher installed, there were issues with that as well. When the installer came to Lowes to pick up my dishwasher, they would not let him leave with it because they could not find my order. So they just sent him away; no one even tried to call me! As it turns out, someone was using my old name (Barbara White) instead of my current name (Barbara Johnson). So he had to delay the install until we could get that straightened out.
Then, we needed to have our refrigerator serviced using our extended warranty (even though it is only 6 months old). Because of the inflexibility with the schedule, I had to leave work for half a day to meet the person on the repair. AND, the address provided by Lowes to the appliance repair place was my old address; I have not lived there for 4 years!!
Never have enough sales staff in appliance area. Cashier was awesome though.
I walked into the store for hornet/wasp killer. I found it easily because it was right by the entrance on the garden side. I had a tough time choosing which spray to get. No employees were in sight to ask for assistance. I picked out a spray...we'll see what happens.
I worked for Lowe's for 10 years and we were taught that if a customer was within 10 feet of you you were supposed to ask them if they are finding everything alright and if I could help them. I passed by 4 associates and they didn't say a word. I walked slowly just to see if each one would say anything to me and still not a word.
I just had the worst customer service experience at this store!! We just spent a LOT of money ordering cabinets and when we went to pick them up, not only did it take well over an hour, my husband loaded all the boxes BY HIMSELF!! The man that brought the boxes out was extremely rude and didnt even offer to help my husband! When he went in to speak with the manager, she was equally as rude. Needless to say we are NOT HAPPY customers and will NOT be shopping at the Lowe's on Hanes Mall Blvd again if I go to any of their stores!
We purchased a range and dishwasher at the end of June. I was told the delivery date when I made the purchase, but it was not written anywhere on my receipt or any other paperwork received at the time of purchase. I could not remember the date, so tried calling the store on Sunday, July 2nd. I could not get anyone on the phone to even try to look up the date of delivery. As it turns out, the deliver was on July 4th. In the past, someone would call a day or 2 before the delivery so we could make sure someone was home. However, the call we received was 15 minutes ahead of time to tell us they were on the way. Of course, we were not home. Very irritating! So had to reschedule, and was finally able to be home when they came.
The thing that comes to my mind is incompetence. In the past, I have done all of my shopping at Lowes Home Improvement (not Home Depot or any other). But at this point, I do not want to even step foot in any of your stores. I feel like customer service has taken a nose dive. I never had issues like this in the past. And I have had things delivered and installed before, so not sure what has happened.
