I called today to have them redone. I made an appointment for 2:30. I wasn't greeted. And to top it all off the owner said I could pay half to have them redone. I will just be having them take these off and I will be going somewhere else.
This is far from my first time visiting this salon, but this very likely will be my last. I got a SNS (dipping powder) manicure on Sunday and on Monday, two nails had cracked. I have been getting SNS for the whole summer and never have I had this happen. When I came back on Monday to get them fixed, the technician was rude and dismissive and seemed to imply that it was my fault that they cracked.
I really liked this salon when it first opened but have had horrible experiences the last 2 times. My aunt and I made an appointment for 2 pedicures. They took us together and she got started right away while I waited with my feet in warm water and no one came. Finally, when my feet were cold and my aunt was on to the exfoliating portion of her pedicure, a lady came over and began mine. She sped so quickly through the motions that I was done LONG before my aunt who was now enjoying her extensive foot massage. I ended up getting a manicure too and I was still finished with both of my very rushed services before she was done with her pedicure. My heels are still rough and I could have really used a good foot massage. My aunt was visiting from out of town, so I'm glad her service was good. I on the other hand, will never come back. There are way too many other options for a pedicure in Winston Salem for me to ever spend money on a horrible service here again.
Today is Wednesday, pictured below you will see three more nails that have cracked (in addition to other nails on the opposite hand).
I went in this week with an appointment. I was seated in a pedicure chair immediately with cold water. The guy didn't even check to make sure it was warm. After sitting soaking in cold water for 25 minutes I watched the tech "clean up" the bowl where he'd just finished a customer. He DID NOT use any cleaner at all. He simply wiped the inside of the bowl with the dirty wet towel he'd been using on the customer and then wiped the top of the bowl with the dirty dry towel. Then came toward me with a basket of tools that were not in an autoclave sleeve!!! I inquired about their cleaning procedures and he said he'd used dish soap on the bowl and that they bleach bowls weekly!! I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Do not risk a toe fungus!!
Very clean, lots of color choices, very friendly, nice ambiance.
So I'd urge you to think twice before choosing Elite.
The technician was terribly unprofessional. She asked me to wait another 30 minutes to even be seen despite the appointment.
I had a great experience. I have RA so my hands hurt all the time. They did a great job of making sure it did not hurt. They do more then just your nails and send you on your way. They gave me a massage and hot wax! I would recommend anyone to go there.
