I have never met such a caring and loving doctor like Dr. Robert Evans. He cares about all of his patients and he has patients from all over the US coming to see him for his expertise. Yes, the waiting times are long but he spends time listening and explaining what new medications or trials are available. You will never find a better urologist.
Took over four hours to receive two tests. On the second test, I was left with my legs propped up and a sheet over me for over half an hour while I waited for the doctor. It was very uncomfortable and I wasn't allowed to move. By the time the doctor did come, the iodine that was put on me hardly worked so the exam was painful. After the exam the doctor promptly left and went out the door before my sheet was down. Which mean that anyone walking by could've easily seen my private areas. I was very distressed by this and neither the doctor or his assistant seem to notice or care. If someone had walked by that would have been extremely embarrassing and a huge invasion of privacy. I was then put in another doctor's office for over an hour waiting, while I would've much rather have been in the main waiting lobby with magazines and a television.
My daughter goes to the pediatric urology side of this office. She has some serious issues right now that require prompt attention. When her issues began to get worse she couldn't get an appointment because every doctor in this office was on vacation at the same time! The nurses are rude and not very caring. My daughter had to suffer for weeks and be in and out of the hospital because her doctor wasn't available, or any doctor for that matter.
I brought a friend after his doctor had told to call in and make an appointment. He did call and was told that his urologist was in surgery for 9 hours and that he could see another doctor. When asked who the girl said, and I quote, "duh, another urologist". Is that behavior very professional? When we arrived for his appoint he found out his original doctor was not in a 9 hour surgery, but rather in Africa. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone and something needs to be done about their level of care..The patient I s a juvenile diabetic in stage 3 kidney disease and needs a referral for a transplant or he probably won't live to see his 30th birthday, and the lack of concern for this person is inexcusable. He needs a referral.
Dr Evans is great. He is a top specialist in treating interstitial cystitis. The wait can, however, can be excruciating. I drive two hours to my appointment and it is not unusual to wait two or more hours to be seen. He is popular and in demand. The office has added a PA who has helped quite a bit when coming in for routine visits where seeing the doctor isn't necessary. She is excellent, relatable and professional. I hope they work out a better system to minimize the wait times. But the doctor is great.
