It has become a game with me. Again today, as always, I walk into the store, catch the eye of an employee, they always look away. I walk around the store, stopping to view merchandise here and there. I don't remember the last time an employee asked to help me. Not once in the past five or six visits for sure. I see employees standing around in clumps, laughing. I see employees fiddling with merchandise. And always, just like today, I walk out of the store without a single word being uttered to me. If I managed this store I could double sales just by teaching customer service. But I'll play again soon, to pick up a packet for a race, or to shop for something I need, and I'll expect what I've come to constantly experience: no service. That's not hearsay, or a one time experience. That's every time. Remarkable.
