Massive selection of books in addition to other items such as journals, toys, and art supplies. Cafe serves excellent snack foods and Starbucks drinks. Atmosphere is very calm and conducive to reading or studying. Plenty of seating in the main area around the cafe and parking is plentiful.
Barnes and Noble is about the only bookstore left standing and with good reason. They have cultivated a lucious yet comfortable atmosphere for browsing items that can often be purchased more cheaply online. It is a place for friends to meet for a cuppa or to share study time. It is a perfect go to for an individual killing some time. Lastly, and most obviously, it is a great place to buy books and games and gifts. Do yourself a favor and stop by.
They have a great selection of history books and if they do not have a book that you want in stock, they will be glad to order it for you - and it usually doe not take that long for your book to arrive either.
This is based on my experience trying to return an online order to the store, in order to save return shipping. The people here are nice, quick to help, but their hands are apparently tied from doing actually helpful things. My return experience was such that I will NEVER buy from B&N again, online or in store. If it weren't for the friendly people, I'd rate it just one star.
I needed a charger for a really old Nook Color. It was really packed but I was still able to get help in a timely manner. The worker helping me was very nice and even apologized that it was taking so long even thought it took like 5 minutes!
