I love that I don't have to go through all the hassle that a Wal-Mart supercenter has. I can buy my food and other household needs without being sucked into buying more things I don't need, but want just because I see it. Love it.
I gave the five stars because they refunded the money for the case of Great Value turnip greens we purchased .... The greens after opening four cans were nothing but strings and grass blades...don't buy these new cans of turnip greens until they get the quality control fixed.. it's not turnip greens it's trash..
I have really come to enjoy shopping here. It's clean, easy to get in and out of, and has had everything that I've been looking for every time.
The location leaves a lot to be desired. Normally, the store needs to be cleaned, you have to avoid stock that is in the aisle. Two times, we have purchased chicken, still labeled to be in date, but once we got home and opened it to cook, the meat was sour smelling and unusable. Thankfully, it could be returned, but we will not be purchasing meat here again. One advantage is the ease to get to the location and the fact that this is one of the few local stores that keep a good stock of Caffeine Free Dr. Pepper, which is why we still go to the location
Nothing special about this Wal-Mart. It's just for grocery shopping (the Super Wal-Mart is just down the road) and I wouldn't recommend this store for weekly shopping. When I visit, it is usually self-checkout only, and even then there are usually lines. The selection is good, the store is well stocked and clean, and you can stop by the deli and meat section for regular markdowns. Parking is usually full. This Wal-Mart is in a shopping center convenient to many neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and Wake Forest University.
