Dr.Mason is a judgmental arrogant doctor. He was in the room with us less that 8 minutes and already told us that his patient (my cousin) wouldn't wear a back brace so it's useless to order a $1500 back brace. With 30°+ curve, he advised that there's nothing that would help and that her pain is not coming from the scoliosis. He pretty much talked down to us as if we were wasting his time. He gave us inaccurate information saying that her curve wouldn't progress. However at her age, my curvature was at 21° and 20 yrs later is at 60° and I have severe back pain. This is a serious case of malpractice. This office also needs a diversity check. There were only 2 people of color working in the office. If you dont think enough of minority people to hire them, then surely you dont care enough about us to treat us! Will definitely not refer anyone to this office. Novant..do better!!
Because of a horrible accident I was in several years ago, I have had to undergo over 10 surgeries to my lower body. Believe me, I have been through some horrible experiences with some surgeons. Fortunately for me, I was sent to Dr. Saunders by my personal physician for a second opinion on my foot. My personal physician knew just how frustrated I had become with the original Orthopedic doctor I had seen about my foot. Therefore, I can't put into words just how much I appreciate what Dr. Saunders did to alleviate the pain in my foot. I had been dealing with horrible pain in my foot for almost a year. That pain is now gone and I have only Dr. Saunders to thank for that. He is truly a wonderful doctor with an amazing, caring personality. Thank you so much.
Very poor service. They are nice enough and Dr Ward was OK. However Getting info about a MRI they had me get is the worst. 3 tries (days) of calling when they finally called back I missed it and not so much as an voice mail. So like many other medical offices the staff is incompetent. Drs are fine.
Dr. Schweppe and staff are great. Always on time and thorough care. Love that there is physical therapy on site.
I have a somewhat rare diagnosis and went to see him about braces. They are common with people who have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Hypermobility Type. He would not prescribe them. He wanted to send me to Therapy, which is something I had already done and must be seen by a physical therapist familiar with the diagnosis anyway. Among other things, he was very judgemental and condescending when he walked in and saw our colored hair and my tattoos. When I asked him if he had ever treated anyone with EDS, he began to tell me where he did his residency in Chicago. I again asked how many he, himself had seen through the course of his career. He said two, maybe three. That includes me. I have not returned.
He also did surgery on my father’s hand for carpal tunnel and gout where he had some stiffness and had loss sensation in his last three fingers of his hand. Now, his hand remains swollen, he cannot none his fingers at all, and it is a constant source of pain.
